The ‘Pick-A-Room’ process allows current/returning residents the chance to choose their room for the next academic year. If you desire to move to a different residence hall or apartment, this is your best chance at reserving your room in your preferred on-campus housing option!
The ‘Pick-a-Room’ process is a two weeks process, however, if you are given a time slot, this does not mean that you will be able to participate in the Pick-a-Room process. Room availability is limited across all on-campus housing options, and rooms fill up very quickly! The best way to help yourself in receiving an early Pick-a-Room time slot is by completing the 2025-2026 Housing Application as close to the October 1st opening date as possible.
You are eligible for the Pick-A-Room Process if:
- You have a completed 2025-2026 Housing Application
- Have a $100 Housing Deposit on file
- Have a signed Lease Agreement for the 2025-2026 Academic Year
- Are an upperclassmen student (sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student; freshmen are not eligible for the pick-a-room process)
If you are eligible for the pick-a-room process, you will receive numerous emails to your UCA issued email address with updates on dates and times for the pick-a-room process.
How Does it Work?
- Students are assigned a time-slot to be able to enter into the ‘pick-a-room’ portal in early April (date tbd).
- Time-slots are allocated based off the Application Completion Date which began on October 1st, 2024.
- You will receive an email of your issued time-slot; once the time passes, you will have access to the ‘pick-a-room’ portal on my.uca.edu in the MyHousing Portal.
- Select the ‘Pick-a-Room’ Image Button located on the homepage of your MyHousing Portal.
- We highly recommend that you enter into the portal as soon as the time-slot opens to give each student the greatest opportunity to choose their preferred room!
